Ratings for Dr. Alicia S. Lubin-Baskin
I have to say her staff is prompt with getting you referrals and they call you after you get blood work. Dr Baskin always gets on the phone to tell you if your blood work is not in normal range.Staff is pleasant to me always. Bad thing is you wait usually almost 2 hours every time you have an appointment. Ive watched Rachel Ray, The View, and part of the 12 o clock news waiting for my appointment.
I have no problem with Dr. Baskin. She always gives me all the time I need and has always diagnose me properly, her staff on the other hand is not very friendly and always over books her to the point where you will wait 2 to 3 hrs to see her. By that time you feel sicker than when you entered her waiting rm. And on top of that her phone line is always busy because her staff puts you on hold until she is finished with her current patient and can come to answer the phone. Too bad, the waiting is just to much to bear sometimes and I have often concidered switching drs because of it.
Dr. Alicia Lubin-Baskin is certified in making you wait over an hour to get a taste of her bad attitude as a result of overbooking herself and working too many hours. I have heard horror stories from residents in the neighborhood about this Dr and her lack of compassion or bed side manor. One former patient i spoke to told me that she chose convenience over quality and ended up with beingmisdiagnosed for over two years. I personally waited on my first visit over an hour to only watch her write in a file and then send me to the front desk. This is not a Dr. This is a thief robbing insurance carriers and patients. She should have her license stripped. My beighbor lost his life under her care for being treated for something that ended up being terminal. STAY AWAY FROM HER. PLEASE!
Dr. Baskin is a good doctor. She just needs to brush up on her "friendly" skills. When she walks into the examining room, she doesn't look at her patient or greets you with a hello. She's looking straight over to the counter where your file is sitting. She looks at your file and at the same time, without looking up, asks you "what can I do for you". That's not very friendly. She seems to be overwhelmed when she walks in. She doesn't ask you how you're feeling. There's no change in her tone. No smiles. Once in a while when you catch her in a good mood, she'll sit there and talk to you a bit about herself, but for the most part, she just does what she has to do and you're done. She doesn't tell you goodnight, see you soon, nothing.
She is always rushing around and she seems overwhelmed when she walks into exam room, her greeting with the patient depends on her mood. Its usually "What can I do for you", which I dont think is a very nice greeting. She should say Hello or Hi in a pleasant tone first... And you better ask again for the prescription before you leave the office, because she will not remember...
