Ratings for Dr. Paul C. Azer
This is THE MOST horrible dr and staff I have ever encountered in my life! Hideous treatment of patients. They don't care about anything or anyone that comes into that office. I plan to report them to every possible place I can in hopes they shut him down.
Dr. Azer always seems like he's in a hurry but not really listening as much as he talks. He took me off one of my throid meds and said everything will be perfect. After 6 weeks, it wasn't. He took some blood work and the tests looked perfect so he gave me a perscription for the one medicine but it had a different name. I called his office 3 times with no return call. I did't want to take this new perscription without a reason from him. I had to call the after hours line and he basically told me he would call me in the morning and hung up on me. Very unprofessional. He could have taken 5 mintues to tell me why he gave me the perscription he did but hung up instead. I'm not going back. If you want your doctor to rush you out of his office and not listen to you then go to him but if not, do your research first.
Dr Azer is a NO BS doctor. If you want a doctor that's direct, to-the-point and damn good at what he does Dr Azer's your man. If you want your condition gently sugar coated with a smiley face he's not for you. He's very frank about what I need to do to help my condition. I might not like what he says but I respect him because I know he honestly wants to help me. But if I don't do MY part he lets me know that he doesn't like it! In other words HE CARES. I enjoy warm, sweet, fuzziness as much as anybody but when it comes to my health I want Dr Azer. He's a VERY doctor and a very good man.
During every appointment with Azer, he has never been interested in my questions nor has he ever been interested in any thing I have attempted to discuss with him. After several years, he has never assured me that the treatment for my condition is correct or mandatory or precautionary or even necessary. During one biopsy procedure, Azer ordered me, in a nasty and loud tone, to stop flinching when the needle is inserted. Two of Azer's office staff are especially rude and one other seemed incompetent when drawing my blood. I do not attempt to convey that Azer is incompetent but here is my opinion: There are plenty of qualified medical professionals from which to choose. It is your responsibility to choose one with a personality to which you can relate. I am now seeing a different Endocrinologist--minus the stress and confusion.
