This is an excellent physician who is kind, considerate and very dedicated to his patients. His office staff is poor -there seems to be enough staff, but they are slackers which is in stark contrast to the dr they work for. When I started there Karanian had an older woman who ran his office who was outstanding. She retired several yrs ago and his office hasnt been the same. I do want to reiterate however, this is an outstanding physician - probably the best I have experienced through several chronic illnesses.

Dr. Karanian is very caring & spends quality time though he is very busy. He has helped me so much in some difficult times. His staff needs to be more professional. Not only in appearance, but to cut out the personal calls. One of the secretaries is constantly on the phone talking in Spanish to her friends. Her appearance is somewhat horrible. In the medical field you do not wear work boots with scrubs. Appropriate sneakers are what are in order.

I saw this provider for 15 years, a very kind and knowledgeable person who is overwhelmed by the size of his practice and a horrible office staff. Follow through is inconsistent. Overlooked an MRI result for six weeks when there was a positive finding in the exam (I required surgery). I had to learn this news from another physician. Does not always return phone calls, even from visiting nurses, and would often rather "wait and see" than take an aggressive approach to figuring out a problem. Would guess this is due to being overwhelmed by a large practice, does not help when you are the sick person. Probably not a great spot unless you are relatively healthy and don't need to speak to this provider by phone.
