Dr. Toft failed to treat my hyperthyroid condition properly. With an enlarged glad (shown on ultrasound, all the classic symptoms, and a tsh level on the lowest acceptable level). He attributed my condition to "mental health", although once I saw a knowledgeable endo and was put on a proper dose of hyperthyroid medication, all of my symptoms were relieved. My endo laughed at his ignorance. He might work at a great hospital, and his qualifications look great on paper, but he was completley wrong about my hyperthyroid. I went to Northwestern expecting the best doctors, though he is not one of them. Thank goodness I'm educated and sought a second opinion, because someone who was not would have been left to suffer from untreated hyperthyroidism.
