It took decades and many psychologists to find Dr. Adams, but I am very grateful that I did. He is an amazing clinical psychologist, but there is nothing “clinical” about his practice. His office is warm and friendly. He has a very balanced approach. He is compassionate, wise, full of patience and grace, but is still solid and strong and will call me on the carpet when he needs to. When I started therapy I was hopeless. I saw no path to changing behaviors and perspectives that have been with me my whole life. Things felt like I could never change. Dr Adams has and continues to help me peel back the layers and effect real change in my life. I highly recommend him (and my wife would probably recommend him even more).

I have consulted with Dr. Adams for a few years now. I have found his support and conflict resolution to be invaluable for me. He has been kind, patient and caring for that I am grateful. He has been very accommodating despite his quite full schedule. In-person consulting is very important to me.

I have not actually been to see Dr. Adams, but I had to leave a review as my initial contact was very off-putting. A not very warm and friendly voice answered the phone. I asked if Dr. Adams was taking new patients. Her response was "Fill out the form online." I asked again, "But is he taking new patients?" Her response again was "Sometimes, fill out the form online." What?! I asked if he accepted my insurance, she said yes, and then followed that with "Any other questions you have, read the website and they will be answered." Translation: "Don't bother to call back because I don't really want to actually talk to someone. Do everything online." Great customer service!! I actually work for a clinical psychologist myself, and I answer the phone and am the only contact other than the psychologist. I understand that people who are calling are in distress to some degree, often great distress, and I do whatever I can to determine what they want, make them feel comfortable and answer their questions! (Obviously, I'm searching for counseling because I'm not going to be a patient of my own boss!) He needs a new person to answer the phone! My search will continue.

If I could give Dr. Adams more than 5 stars, I would. Dr. Adams is honest, perceptive, and compassionate. You can feel immediately that he has your best interest in mind. He is excellent at listening and analyzing complex information and interactions and giving exceptional advice. I sought out Dr. Adams for help with career challenges, and thanks to his ability to synthesize information and go straight to the heart of the matter, I am seeing improvements in all areas of life. Dr. Adams helps me see things from a different perspective, and I’m grateful for several life-changing lessons, and for uncovering other areas of improvement that have the potential to be extremely beneficial. His nursing staff is also exceptional and always helpful and kind.

Difficult times at work, with family, with changing career and with finances. I found someone who knows a great deal about these areas, and why my life has led me to this point. My family can only be of so much help. My futile feelings come from a sense of helplessness and problematic decision making. Forever thankful.

I see him in office and feel fortunate to be on his patient panel. I have problems in my marriage, in mu career, with the family that raised me. My decision making has been weak at best. I have had a pretty good idea from where my problems came, but I was unable to put it together. He is kind, warm, patient, extremely well informed. He cuts through my self-deception. He focuses upon the depth of my problems and my distortions. I has been, and is, a wonderful experience.

Began with my relationship/family but as that resolved, I needed guidance as to how to advance my career, interact with colleagues and create a professional goal for me. This has been invaluable.

A very busy doctor, and it took me several weeks to get an appointment. His nurse is great and so helpful. It was all I had hoped for and read about. I eagerly look forward to my return visits.
