Dr. Schierling is a "hospitalist" for Stormont-Vail in Topeka, KS. He charged my insurance $117.50 - of which I have to pay $105.21 for nothing. I never saw him, never spoke to him, not sure why he is charging me. This is what is wrong with our health care system. The doctor I actually did see who also did very little charged 176.00 and 42.50 for reading an EEG - something the nurse could do. But because he actually provided a service, insurance covered most of it. Dr. Schierling did absolutely nothing to earn his money. Would never, ever go to him nor recommend him. He provided no feedback on what brought me into the hospital nor spoke to me about the outcome of the tests they ran and x-rays they took while I was there. This is a terrible system and he is a terrible doctor.
