After graduation he completed a post-baccalaureate pre-med program at Penn State Brandywine. He graduated from MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine (now Drexel College of Medicine) in 2001. He completed his medical internship at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ and Ophthalmology Residency at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary where he was Chief Resident, graduating in 2005. He then stayed at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary for a one year Glaucoma Fellowship. After Fellowship Dr. Pro joined Ophthalmic Partners of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, a multispecialty practice with locations in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania; Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia; and Marlton, NJ. He is an Associate Surgeon at Wills Eye Hospital and an Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson Medical College. He is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology.\r\n\r\nThe Wills Eye Hospital has a very busy Glaucoma department training three clinical Fellows per year as well as numerous research Fellows. In addition to surgical and clinical training of the clinical Fellows, Dr. Pro is involved in resident Glaucoma education. Aside from clinical practice Dr. Pro is a frequent lecturer regionally and nationally. Dr. Pro is a member of several medical associations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. He is a past President of the Greater Philadelphia Ophthalmic Society. His expertise includes all types of glaucoma treatment and surgeries, including state of the art “bleb-less” and minimally invasive surgeries such as ECP and istent, which are frequently combined with cataract surgery. His research interests include novel glaucoma surgical techniques and devices.
