Ratings for Dr. Hyon S. Kang
Dr. Kang is an excellent doctor, great bedside manner and incredibly knowledgeable. He explained all of my issues and the path we go towards resolving them better than anyone else had. The two biggest problems I encountered were the fact that I had his first appointment of the day and had to wait over an hour to actually see him. I knew he was going to be late I would have booked a later appointment. The other problem I had is that I was supposed to get a prescription refilled on a Thursday. I never heard from my pharmacy and then I was out of town. So on Tuesday I called and asked where my prescription was. They had no record of it but told me the doctor would get to it that afternoon. Still nothing happened and I had to call back Tuesday. It took the nurse a few minutes to find a record of it and she finally sent it off. I just don't think it should take that long to send off a prescription I need to survive my daily life.
I had an esophagram and the original doctor said there was no tumor.I took the X-Ray to Dr. Kang and after looking at the X-Ray, he immediately recognized a hidden tumor. He had me admitted to Las Palmas and verified the tumor with an endiscope, found the tumor was malignant. Put in a Stent so I could swallow.Dr. Kang is No nonsense, which I like....I hope you never need one, but if you do, you will find Dr. Kang an expert in his field. One office vist, two hospital visits.
