This surgeon is self-designated in urology, and is not a member of the AMA. He is easily angered, unpleasant, and does not explain risks of complications. He performed a radical bladder removal and appendectomy on my father in 2000. My father developed a MRSA infection of the blood and pneumonia after surgery which took 3 months to treat. Dr. Grimaldi used only staples & the wound opened & bowel eviseration. Another surgeon sewed him up again. He was never well enough to come home again and died 9 months later. His thyroid replacement was given with other meds blocking its absorption which caused severe hypothyroidism which went unnoticed at St. Margaret Mercy in Dyer,IN. Zyvox antibiotic caused anemia. His pacemaker had to be removed due to infection. Prior to surgery, Dr. Grimaldi charged into the holding area gowned for surgery gloves held up contaminating himself & shouted all red faced over my father's gurney at us because there was some confusion about what "radical" involved.
