went to Dr. tiechman for an old injury to my foot that left my foot flat. We agreed on a surgery to fix the flat foot and to fuse the old injury. In my initial visit I felt great walking out I let him know my concern and how I felt about pain management. On the day to schedule my surgery I made sure my pain would be control and that when my stitches came out that I would be put in the hard cast afterward. I also asked about a nerve block which he told me the anesthesiologist would give me one before I went into surgery. He would also put one in after I was put under. On the day of surgery it was unorganized and scary. I was scheduled to be at the hospital at 1230. I saw nurse and anesthesiologist never got the nerve block I was told I would receive one. I waited three more hours before my surgery with an empty stomach. Saw dr tiechman for two min and waited another half an hour. When I woke up tiechman was no where to be found. He swore he talked to me. If he did I was under anesthetic and have no recollection of it. When I asked how surgery went no one that was on the surgical team was at the hospital and couldn’t answer the question. And I was rushed out of the hospital.I never saw him after surgery. I was in a lot of pain asked if I ever got a nerve block no one could answer l. I went home and fell asleep. Woke up at 3am in so much pain shaking. I called the after hours line. When the dr called me back he said bluntly and unapologetically that I just had surgery and that it normal to in pain and brushed me off. By 7 am I asked my husband to take to the hospital I had surgery in they ran test my body was under so much stress that they kept me because my white blood count was high they thought I had sepsis stayed in the hospital where they finally got pain under control. He never visited me in the hospital or even called me . Post op appointment he took splint off put me in a boot and I told him once stitches were out that I wanted a hard cast instead of boot. Which bring to today the stitches were taken out still in pain only perscibed 10 more pain pills, made it clear that would be the last time I would get any pain med and refused to put me in a cast. I have an allergy to aspirin and NSAIDs so I am out of luck if pain continues. I am writing this know I could possibly put on a list for drugs seeking or a hard patient as retaliation for speaking out.
