Extremely POOR experience! My physician arranged a referral to this clown for an ingrown toenail and sent his office my name and insurance information. I called to schedule an appointment and to learn what my co-pay, out of pocket cost would be and they could not tell me how much I'd have to pay. It was like I was asking for something unusual and the person on the phone was mystified and totally confused. The voice in my mind is one that I should have listened to because it was saying this is not a good business practice, or doc. Regrettably, I didn't listen to it. I schedule the appointment as a new patient with my insurance provider stated, waited two weeks in pain, take off from work, show up for the appointment, get taken back to an exam room and the unbelievably cold, distant, unwelcoming assistant takes my insurance card to go log it in, then comes back and tells me that they don't accept my insurance and that if I wanted treatment I would have to self pay! Really? STAY AWAY FROM DR. RICKOFF
