Ratings for Dr. C. Chantal Nguyen-Tran
I had my last few months of prenatal care under Dr. Tran. She was nice in the beginning, but as time passed and she got to know my husband and I better, her bedside manner worsened. She was always rushed and did not show care or concern towards some of my anxiousness or nervousness about my first time of giving birth. During labor, she was very rushed and kept pressuring me to get a c-section, which I did not need, because everything was normal and going smoothly, but she felt that I was in labor for too long, which had only been around five hours. I've known women who would be in labor for much longer without any issues. During the pushing stage, she was not very encouraging and kept threatening a c-section if I could not push hard enough and showed no compassion to me as a first time mom. I switched doctors immediately after this whole experience.
Beware!!! I strongly DO NOT recommend her!!! She is a very rude and inconsiderate doctor. She was nice on my first prenatal visit but couple weeks later (9 weeks of my pregnancy) I had a pregnancy scared - I was bleeding and thinking I’m having a miscarriage. I freaked out since it was my first pregnancy. I called the office right way, talked to one of her nurse and asked if I can come in and check on the baby. The nurse told me “Dr. Chau do not need to see you but you need to bed rest”. Seriously!!! I’m bleeding and I need to see her right now!!! After 45 mins on the phone, she agree and said she will see me if I make it to the office within one hour. My work place and her office is 45 mins away =( Anyways, when she checked me that day she was extremely rough and tears coming out of my eyes because of the force she used “down there”. I mean LITERALLY tears!!! Usually I can manage pain but this was painful!!! My husband also attended the examination and mentioned that she rolled her eyes when she was examined me and that he saw her purposely hurt me. Right after that visit, we switched dr and found Dr. Brain Heaps. He is so wonderful and kind. My husband and I are very grateful and because of him, we have a healthy 5 month daughter!!! PS. I don’t think she care if I had miscarriage!!!!
Not a nice woman, I almost reported her to the hospital because I felt discriminated against. She sent in a nurse after she left to tell me I needed to find another doctor because she no longer accepted any type of medicade. I was 35 weeks pregnant and it happened around Christmas break. I had to call 7 different doctors but no one wanted to because of how far along I was. Then I had to call my insurance so they could help me. They found me an amazing doctor but she could only see me after New Years has passed. Dr. Tran is rude and made me feel my questions were stupid. Would not recommend her, unless you have private insurance because she told me that by me having medicade she's doing her job for free.
LOVE HER! I've been her patient for 8 years. I'm 31. She's delivered my only child and will deliver the rest. She listens very well and has wonderful bedside manner, especially at delivery. I wish she could be my general doctor, as well. For my entire family! My husband loves her too. Her staff is caring and remembers you and your family. It's a warm, inviting environment. Dr. Tran has been very knowledgeable in everything I've approached her with. Including embarrassing topics. LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!!!
