Ratings for Dr. Ajay Kumar Arora

I have lost trust in Dr Arora with the care of my mother. My mother has Parkinson's disease. She has tried all the medications available to fight her disease to no effect. When asked about his opinion about trying Medical Marijuana since all other (pharmaceutical medicines) failed to work.... at all. His response was "I don't know much about it". I was shocked that I .... a layman seemed to know more about the subject than he. (I challenge you to watch this video..... https://www.facebook.com/ridewithlarry/videos/1273155682752093/ BUT.... My biggest complaint concerning this Dr and his staff involves their neglect of my mother in her hour of need. Last week my mother had a bad fall at home. She broke two ribs and received a bad head injury. My mother went to Morton Plant. I asked the staff in the Hospital to please have Dr Arora (whose office is across the parking lot) be involved with the treatment of her head injury ....since he was her Neurologist. Imagine my surprise when the next morning I get a call from Dr. Arora office ..... the first words out of their mouths was.... NOT that they are sorry that my mother is hurt..... Not that they will be glad to help her.....BUT they will be canceling her future appointments due to lack of her $33.00 C0-payment. (thirty three dollars and no cents) My mother was fighting for her life and This Doctor and his staff cared more about a $33 co-payment. (which was in the mail by the way) than the life of my mother. I called DrArora's office to speak with either Dr Arora himself or his office manager to rectify this situation. I was thwarted in this effort at every turn by his staff FOR TWO DAYS!!! Until I finally reached Heather. The explanation given did not ease my misgivings. I am EXTREMELY DISAPOINTED. (no no...... I'm pi$$ed off)
Excellent doc, very helpful follows me for Parkinson's disease. Helped so much. Change of meds has helped walking and tremor. Also helped take care of my wife in the hospital after stroke. Explains things well and figured out why it happened. She is doing good. Thank you
The worst neuro I have ever seen! Not only did he not make eye contact with me, he didn't leave his chair while examining me and hardly did any exam. Ordered at MRI on the brain which I had done a week ago and still hasn't read it and I need my results asap for numerous reasons. Was told I would be noticed in 2-4 days, it's been almost 2 weeks. I will never go back to see him and he is very standoffish, has no personality and made me have a panic attack because I felt so uncomfortable around him.
Dr. Arora had an issue with my 76 year old mothers health insurance and he let it be known during our visit. Throughout the visit he was very hostile towards my mother. He told my mother she had awful insurance, twice during his statements he said, quote "THAT'S BECAUSE OF YOUR DAMN INSURANCE". He was not able to diagnose or help my mother in any way. It was obvious that he did not want to treat her & this was his way of getting rid of her. He is a terrible doctor & should have his license taken away. When my mother informed her other doctor about her experience with Dr. Arora he told her that she was the 2nd patient this year that had a bad experience with Dr. Arora. If you have insurance that he likes & pays him well he will treat you like a king or queen but if he doesn't like your insurance he will be very hostile & rude to you. Make sure you have excellent insurance before seeing this doctor!
