Ratings for Dr. Mark O. Asperilla
Dr. Asperilla saved my fathers life. He had a severe gangrene infection from a gruesome work injury in 1993. The bacteria had to be sent to the CDC and only one other person had ever been affected by it and he perished. Dr. Apserilla spent 7 straight days 24 hours a day at my fathers side treating him. He saved his life and his leg. He is the epitome of care and kindness. God bless him.
I am a honorably retired United Sates Air Force Veteran as of 1 September 2006. I was awarded permanent Social Security Disability in October 2008 and 100% Permanent and Total Disability in December 2014 from the VA. My family and myself have lived in Florida since June 2012. In July 2012 my Primary Care Manager referred me to Dr. Asperilla. Dr. Asperilla diagnosed me with Walking Pneumonia and Bronchitis. That afternoon, I found myself in his Infusion Center receiving the correct antibiotic. Dr. Asperilla stated, " i should be feeling and breathing much better that night and the next day. He was correct on both prognosis and I received only 5 infusions instead of 7. I only needed 5 infusions and back in my combat boots after 5 infusions. I highly recommend Dr. Asperilla based on facts mentioned above! He has a free clinic in Port Charlotte, FL. on Tuesdays and Thursdays Because I have Medicare and Tricare 4 Life, I chose Dr. Asperilla to receive me as a new patient and pay nothing out-of-pocket! However, it wasn't about the money! For me it was about his gentle bedside manner, the personalized plan he develops and shares with each patient! Some of the Accolades he earned and was awarded: ( President of the Philippines) The Presidential Award For Filipino Individuals and Organizations Oversees 2014 (President of the United States of America): Ellis Island Medals Of Honor
The only thing good about this office is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. The doctor kept me waiting over an hour to spend less than five minutes with me. The staff had to clarify what I needed to do. Do not recommend seeing this doctor as patients are clearly not his priority.
Dr always seems rushed. Biggest problem is one nurse in infusion center who is emotionally unbalanced and takes it out on her patients. Spends a lot of time doing college work on her laptop - so she fails to look patients in the eye when she speaks to them. Shouts orders. Belittles patients. Terrible! Report her and you are treated even worse. No accountability because dr is too busy to follow through.
I called for the information about seeing the doctor and that's as far as I got because the lady who answered the phone was very rude. I was asking about information on what he does and she was short with me and now even though he's a good doctor I will NOT be making an apt to go there. Go staff. Good job
