Ratings for Dr. Juan Soto
Dr Soto is not only knowledgeable, but is also understanding and kind (not something you often get in a physician). He seems to understand the emotional trauma and mental anguish of dealing with obesity and is a great listener. He's also very attentive and was able to diagnose some other underlying issues we had, that weren't weight related. He is also willing to listen and investigate when I bring him new challenges . He is amazing.
Went to see Dr Soto for a problem and he was able to step it up on a few problems that I thought I had to live with and my former Dr was just medicating , it was an honor to have been able to see Dr Soto.he is very punctual, and and up to date an a wide variety of new cures and treatments, in saying that it's good to see a dr who cares about medicine not just the money!

Not sure what has changed with Dr. Soto. His approach to seek and diagnosis is lacking in the last year or so. I went for an annual physical and was seen by his student/intern. She said he would be coming in to consult. Then she came back and told me I was done and that there was no need for him to see me. I'm betting he still billed AHC for the visit though! That is disappointing. I never thought he would be like that. I have been to see him 4 times in the last 3 months for a particular issue. He keeps telling me to use the same home remedy each time. Clearly that is not correcting the problem. He asks the same questions over and over. My chart is documented as to what surgeries etc I have add but he seems surprised that they have been performed it I mention them. Hard to find a doctor you have confidence in. Seems I have lost confidence in this one.
Dr. Juan SOTO has been my family Doctor since 2007. I have always found him to be very thorough in his examinations. Dr. SOTO noticed that my prostrate was enlarged and my PSA level had risen. Dr. SOTO did not take a wait and see approach as I hear some doctors do he quickly made an appointment with Dr. Bochinski a Urologist in Edmonton. I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer but because I was diagnosed early ( no fault of my own )I have had the cancer removed and I am now cancer free thanks to Dr. SOTO and Dr. Bochinski. They I short saved my life and I will always be grateful to them. K. Dale Clarke
The staff is fantastic! Dr Soto is always late. I have never had an issue with my health until now and I don't feel he is taking me seriously. He asks me the same questions every time I see him when he has made notes from previous visits. I don't think he knows what to say or do so lets just review everything AGAIN. I have been waiting months to get an appt with an obgyn. Overall I would not recommend him.
I began seeing Dr. Soto after my GP of 17 years passed away. I have cronic medical ailments. He provided very good, thorough complete medicals. Dr. Soto took the time to take down all ther pertinent info from my years of prior treatment and since that time he does not seem to care about the cronic stuff. He just brushes it aside. The best care for me is to have all my health care professionals working together but he seems to have no interest in being part of that team.. i find that very disappointing.
