Ratings for Dr. Richard S.K. Young
Dr. Young has always been, very caring. He spends time making children comfortable, and the parents as well. My daughter absolutely adores him. He has stopped at the hospital durring teasting, just to make sure she was doing o.k., and has even delivered meds to my home when we were out of them. What doc does that anymore? I am also proud to say that he also sevres for our troops. We are so proud to have him in our lives. Thank you Dr. Young. Please come home safely soon.
Although he was friendly and cracked jokes the whole time, overall we had a very bad experience with this doctor. With a smile on his face, his words were extremely patronizing. He was not at all current on his knowledge of developmental disorders. He totally missed the diagnosis, largely due to jumping to an immediate (and wrong) conclusion and making all of his questions (and our answers) fit into this idea. Thankfully his negligent exam (or lack thereof) was so aggregious that we knew to get a second opinion. If not, we might have been steered down a very wrong path. Two other neighbors also used this doctor. The mother of the child with seizures was THRILLED with this doctor, especially because he called her afterhours at home to check up on the baby. The mother of the child with autism was equally unimpressed with his archaic knowledge and beliefs about developmental delays.
