Ratings for Dr. Steven J. Harris
First visit is expensive. Follow-ups are $220+. You are charged for any letters needed for employers or insurance companies. He is very knowledgable. My only concern is the follow-up when you have an emergency. Not sure if it is the office staff getting the messages to him for answers. His treatments are hardcore, so you need to be ready for the herx's.
Dr. Harris' father owns IgeneX Labs, which is one of the most respected labs in the country for diagnosing lyme disease. So you can say he grew up with an understanding of Lyme disease. Maybe he even had lyme disease himself. He's knowledgeable, open, positive and cooperative with alternative treatments, and that is very important because I don't think anyone has THE ANSWER for lyme disease yet. He will work with you and your preferences for treatment. He admits he is learning all the time. I like that in a doctor. My only complaint is that he doesn't get back to you and is hard to get ahold of when you have a question.
After suffering from misdiagnoses for almost 20 years, Dr. Harris found the corrects DXs & has put me on a path to health. Altho' still sick, I am far better than I have ever been in the past 20 years. He also DXd my son's illnesses that began at birth (17 years ago) & he is almost well now. Dr. Harris is also wonderful with his bedside manner, esp. with my teenager!!
