Ratings for Dr. J. Dean Cole
As an existing patient, I became injured and was asked to wait over a month for treatment. Tried to schedule surgery and he wouldn't. Then a week later has his staff call and cancel my appt with him because THEY said I filed a complaint with the hospital, which I didn't, but Inreally should have by the way I was treated. I have never seen a doctor treat a injured existing patient so poorly and carelessly as he and his staff did. His staff never followed thru on their word to call me. He never followed thru on a trial he wanted me to be a part of. He is unethical, unprofessional and an egomaniac. Caring for his patients is not what he cares about, he cares only about the next buck in his pocket and his staff and everyone else is afraid to do the right thing when they KNOW he is treating his patients unfairly and poorly. He should not be allowed to practice medicine under these conditions and is a danger to anyone who uses him because he only cares about himself!!
The doctor is great. I will wsit hours to see Dr cole any day. But is staff is another story. It's like they are robots or something. I work i. The medical field and when a patient is having a problem, we check with the doctor. Well the staff here, takes it in their own hands. Shore enough I had a problem. Thank God I know what to do untill I could get in too see Dr Cole. As for Dr Cole and his Pa's they are great.
Thanks to Dr. J. Dean Cole skill set and dedication, I have a quality of Life. He replaced my joints from my shoulders to my knees. No more RA pain in those joints. Oscar Perez Deltona, Fl. He is the ruler to which surgeons should be measured. Thank you Dr. Cole, I appreciate It.👍
My issue is with his staff, not the doctors. I did not find out I was out of network until six weeks after my surgery. His office staff, mainly accounting, is rude and uncooperative. I was out of network and they tried as hard as they could not to work with my insurance company. They tried to make it difficult for me and made me jump through all these hoops to give them insurance information they already knew the answer to, trying to discourage me. That office cares about the bottom dollar, not the patient. They can't give you a definitive answer on how much an office visit or procedure costs. They even told me the doctors have no clue how much we are charged for items as they (the staff) make up the prices!!!! I needed to have my hardware removed after healing and my out of network insurance company agreed to pay 100% as I had made my deductibles for the year. All their office had to do was sign a " patient advocacy letter" and the office would get paid. They refused as it was out of network and " they don't do that." I'm going to another first rate ortho Doctor who takes my insurance to get the hardware out. If you ever find yourself at any FL Hospital ER with a broken bone and need emergency surgery, find out first if First Response takes your insurance. If not, get the hell out of there. Otherwise it can cost you thousands out of your own pocket because of the cold hearted office staff at First Response. The doctors may be good, but their staff needs to be fired and replaced with people who care about the patients and are willing to work with them.
He performed two surgeries on my left foot he did an ankle replacement and installed multiple pieces of hardware. He has ruined my life forever, I can no longer walk,my foot swells when I sit without elevating my foot. When I first met this man I was so happy that I found a doctor that could fix my badly promoting foot. After two surgeries and over seven months in a rehab centre, I wish I had never met this man. When I went to him months later and complained about my foot swelling and constant pain he told me I was just a bad penny and he couldn't get thru to me. The best thing he could have done for me would have been for him to tell me he couldn't help me.
Dr. Cole is a brilliant man. My husband broke both of his legs. We went to three different hospital because no other doctor would even attempt to fix him. One even told us he would lose one leg below the knee. It's been a long road, but Dr . Cole and his PAs have him on his feet, walking and working. We have always had excellent care from his office and his staff. If I even break a toe, I will go to him for help.
