Ratings for Dr. Michael Nicolle
BEWARE. My wife went to see this guys for some information about the disease she was born with. After a ten minute assessment her drivers licence was taken away. Indefinitely. Having to see other doctors for second opinions and re-doing a drivers test after having If for 25 years she finally got her licence back. Past with flying colours. All the other doctors she visited commented on how ridiculous her fate was. She almost lost her job because she couldn't drive out of town to get there daily.. We have two teenage children that play travel hockey and soccer. To top it off months earlier I had taken on a long term job out of province that has me away 5 weeks and only one week home. My wife was so stressed out I can't believe she made it through the ordeal.. I haven't added up the dollars we spent to get my wife to work, kids to school and their sporting events for three months. $650.00 for the driving test. My wife asked the doctor how can you do this to me. He said to basically cover his own butt This guy is ruthless . Seriously folks beware of this so called doctor who supposed to help you. Just about destroyed my wife's life. By the way my wife has never used a wheelchair, walker or cane in her life. Because she's never needed them and still doesn't
I met with Dr. Nicolle after having no luck being diagnosed by other neurologists. He was extremely kind and attentive. He answered all of my questions and treated the 'whole person' not just the 'disease.' I did not feel rushed at any point and I have confidence in his knowledge. His staff was great. I look forward to continuing to work with him.
So grateful to have been sent to Dr Nicolle. I have struggled many years - especially in the last 3 years, having lost my speech & ability to swallow. By the time I saw him, my speech & swallowing had returned, though when I get tired, it worsens. Dr Nicolle ran a panel of tests, and initially he felt he could not explain my present symptoms. 6 days later his office called, saying he needed to see me. Long story short, he did diagnose me with MG & put me on medication & things are slowly improving. I feel very fortunate for being sent to Dr Nicolle! I also found him to be prompt & he has a very kind bedside manner!
I felt confident that he was knowledgeable in regards to disorders of the Neuromuscular Junction. He seemed otherwise Uninterested and not as knowledgeable about other autoimmune disorders. He made opinions on my treatment plan that he wasn't even asked to address. He seemed arrogant abrupt and over opinionated. Sigh
