Ignore the above review - that was probably just one isolated experience - I'm now a college student, but went to SF Day School and was a patient of Dr. Aicardi's my entire life. She was GREAT. Very approachable, very helpful, very caring.

Over a period of years, Dr. Aicardi: 1. Failed to figure out what was causing our son to get sick every winter and miss months of school. She eventually gave up on him and we had to talk her into trying different tests. 2. Refused to sign paperwork so the school would give him a tutor while he was out sick. She said that she didn't think that he was really sick and that we should make him go to school. 3. Wrote a letter to the school without telling us saying that because she couldn't find anything wrong with him, he should be in school. The school then accused us and our son of truancy. 4. Told us that we were "poisoning" our son after we told her that we were taking him to a homeopath who actually figured out what was wrong (food allergies and a GI tract wrecked by antibiotics from the doctors) and gave him supplements (vitamins mainly) that helped him to regain his health. 5. Gave me a 30 minute rant about how much she hated practicing medicine under HMOs.
