Very personable. She spent a considerable amount of time explaining a procedure, future options, etc. to me; which I wouldn't have expected a doctor to do. She initiated the call; I don't expect doctors to have much time to be overly helpful to patients, and even a brief conversation would have been appreciated. A most impressive doctor. Obviously, very bright and competent.

Extremely competent, an adjunct professor at Stanford, but not that warm. The clinic also schedules in 10-minute increments, which doesn't allow for enough interaction. Gastroenterology is a "core" practice that brings up peoples' emotions, and with a longer appointment, more caring may come across. Still, Dr. Chan is extremely competent. I highly trust her skill.
