Ratings for Dr. John R. Hauser
I only saw this doc once by self-referral for a test; he and his staff did everything to facilitate getting the test done rather than putting up roadblocks like other providers do (you need a primary care doc/he did the referral, you need a driver/his nurse arranged for a taxi, etc, etc). They seemed to realize that I wouldn't get a necessary test done if I had any excuse to not do it; when I called the office nurse with a small problem she told me jokingly: "you are not going to get out of this test that easily"....and she solved the problem. In addition to doing a very professional job with the colonoscopy, this doc and his nurse were very friendly and that meant a lot.
I wish that I had listened to the nurses who worked with this doctor; nobody said that he was incompetent, just that they really didn't like working with him. In my one procedure with him, he basically lied about how hw was going to do ir (an this had nothing to do with "medical necessity"....) Only when one of the GI nurses called me at home and exlained that he "tells the patient anything" does the procedure the easiest way for himself and hopes that you can't reacll what really happened. Now my symptoms have returned (bad) and I don't trust any GI docs at all because of this experience.
This doctor says one thisn them does another when you are too rugged out to resist,,,,,,,,,never again would I see him *(Grad of Unic of Bologna)....for....this stff has contempt got his "lack of informed consent"...go figure.....go else where
Nice guy, but he has a major problem with tellign the truth......we are going to do the test "tis way"..then does it "his way" and to heck with the patient or with the consequesnces...just do "em fast, get them out the door...."next"........really, really bad
I have worked with a lot of doctors, and I must say that Dr. Hauser and his office employees are just great. He is a very patient and caring physician; his office staff did everything to make my experience trouble-free. They answered my myriad of questions cheerfully and in a caring, professional manner. Dr Hauser even went as far as ordering additional routine labs since I don't have a primary care doctor; I was really impressed with him. Insurance: BCBS
