Ratings for Dr. Joel D. Lilly
I recently had a scare with an elevated PSA. My GP wanted to refer me to a urologist for further investigation. I said I wanted the best. I was referred to Dr. Lilly: it turned out I needed a prostate biopsy. The procedure went extremely well. I was really surprised at how at ease I was during the process. He walked me through it as it happened, told me everything that he was doing, and I felt almost nothing. Incredible. If you must see a urologist, see the best. I heartily recommend Dr. Lilly.
This past year I received a diagnosis of prostate cancer and started looking for a Seattle surgeon to perform a Robotic Prostatectomy. I did considerable research on different urologists in the city - of which there are many. Then, however, my primary doctor revealed to me that he had undergone the procedure himself and highly recommended HIS surgeon - Dr. Joel Lilly. From our first meeting, through surgery, and now almost a year of follow-up, I have found Dr. Lilly to be warm, engaging, and utterly professional. He took time to explain the procedure, risks and recover. The surgery went well, and now a year later, I have no sign of cancer. I have no hesitation in recommending him highly for this surgery - or other urological issues.
In 2017 I made an appointment with Dr. Joel Lilly due to an abnormal PSA test. I am a retired 68 year old physician. After my initial exam, he scheduled me for prostate biopsies. The biopsy results revealed malignant prostate cancer. Dr. Lilly discussed the different treatment options available. I decided to go with a robotic prostatectomy with nerve sparing. Dr. Lilly performed the surgery. I had minimal post-op pain and went home the next morning. The only pain medicines I needed were Tylenol and Celebrex. I had no incontinence. At my 6 week post-op visit, my PSA had dropped to a negligible level. Dr. Lilly saved my life and with every week my quality of life has gotten better! I highly recommend Dr. Lilly. He will guide you through the best treatment path in a professional and caring manner.
If you want a great urologist, I suggest Dr. Joel Lilly M.D. He is very experienced and has much knowledge of prostate cancer. He gives you the best advice and care for your health. I know this because I have serious prostate cancer. For the last four years his treatments and watchfulness has kept me healthy and my PSA has gone from being very high to non detectable
I have been seeing Dr. Lilly for various issues for about 10 years. During that time he has performed two hospital surgeries and several minor procedures on me, and provided advice and treatment on several issues. The surgical and procedure outcomes were excellent, his predictions of results invariably accurate, and his advice and treatment consistently correct. He is attentive to my concerns and even sometime reads well my unstated concerns and addresses them. I consider myself extraordinarily fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Lilly by my family doctor. Quite simply, Dr. Lilly is absolutely first rate.
Dr. Lilly really cares about his patients. His no nonsense approach is greatly appreciated. He is truly engaged with the issues at hand and gets right to the point on what needs to be done. He seems to always look at the options and discusses them with me. All of my appointments have been reasonably on time and thorough. He cares about what he does and his patients well being. That's exactly what I look for in a physician.
