We love Dr. Rick! Our son can't wait to see him each time we have a visit. He asks about Dr. Rick and when he can go play with him again.

Dr. Solomon helped our family so much--he spent a long time talking with us when he diagnosed our son with autism. I can't believe the negative review on this site! He is the first doctor to truly engage my son, and address the emotional impact of having a child with autism. His program has helped so many other families I know. He is professional, caring and compassionate--and a wonderful public speaker (I've been to his intro workshop). If you go on the chatrooms for Floortime, you will see how many parents love the program that he offers. I can't say enough how lucky I feel to have found Dr. Solomon and I recommend him highly.

Dr. Solomon is an autism expert, yet he doesn't understand the proper way to conduct an autism diagnosis. He spent half an hour with my child in his office, an uncomfortable environment, before presenting his diagnosis. A proper diagnostic procedure should take several hours, involve several practitioners, and take place partly in the home, where the child is most comfortable. Dr. Solomon showed no empathy to me and my husband in this trying time. He seemed more interested in showing us how smart he was and how he could "figure out" our kid in just a few minutes. He added stress to an already extremely stressful situation. He suggested that we not have any more children (we were planning to start trying to conceive soon), and that we move to Pennsylvania where the services are better. He denigrated local services that we later found to be terrific. He has a vested interest in finding children autistic, so he can sell parents his treatment program. He does a disservice to families.
