Was his patient for a little over a year (several years ago). He was nice. However, his MD-hubris and self-assurance were excessive. He dismissed many of my concerns about certain medications without providing any scholarly, logical, or fact-based evidence-- and was absolutely incorrect on a number of occasions (which I would learn later on my own). For example (one of several), he dismissed my concerns about physiological dependence on, and difficulty withdrawaling from, SSRIs. He also maintained that I (and another person who I know well and was also a patient after I was) should tough out some horrendous side effects of certain medications-- despite my insistence that they were not at all worthwhile-- in the hopes that the side effects would gradually dissipate and the positive effects would more fully emerge, which never became the case.
