Ratings for Dr. David D. Perz
Dr. Perz has a very sarcastic, glib bedside manner. I was so disappointed with his treatment of my elderly mother who recently passed. He actually told my mom there was nothing he could do for her unless she got a new heart. From the day he told her she didn't have much time left, she live up to his prediction and was gone within 3 weeks. I do not believe man osteopathic doctor should be so blunt to a patient and unfeeling. Her thought was too sensitive. I told him not to discuss a limit on my mom's life with her but he did anyway and after her last visit with him she called all her kids and told them the end was near based on Dr Perz's prediction. I believe this news is fine to give with family but with a frightened Patient? I am left wondering if the quality of the end of my moms life may have been more peaceful without seeing this doctor. I would not have had my mom semhim. She was his patient for just about a year. The office staff never ever followed through when I called for information...when I needed to call associated services like oxygen. They rarely delivered messages to Dr Perz.
Dr. Perz is a very honest Dr and up front. I find him very easy to talk to about my problems. He is supportive of your other specialist doctors. He is the only doctor that does take the time to listen. Most doctors have their hands on the door handle ready to walk out. Not Dr. Perz. His office staff are friendly when you go in the office for an appointment, but if you call and leave a message they never get back to you. Your waiting for a referral you better call them or you will never get it. In most cases I have left a doctor because of the staff, but I won't with Dr. Perz, he is too good of a doctor.
If you have insurance with Scan, guess what? Dr Perz will not support you when it comes time for your specialist referrals. It doesn't matter to him if you have a legit request. Dr Perz and Prime Care of Hemet are very concerned about the bottom line. You may not be aware of it, but Scan pays them a set amount for each of their patients. If you go to most specialists, it's money that comes out of Prime Care Of Hemets pocket, not the insurance company. Dr Perz will not support you when Prime Care Of Hemet issues denials of coverage. Most of the time he is the cause of the denials in the first place. If you appeal to the insurance company, they will support Prime care Of Hemet most of the time. They force you to appeal to a government agency for an independent medical review that will eventually overturn their denials of coverage. But that could take 3 months. Many medical conditions are not treated properly because of the conflict of interest that exists.DR PERZ HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH
I looked for a DR. that listened for 25 years .Iam very glad to have found DR. Perz. He takes time to listen to you,and find the best course of treatment. If you have to wait a few minutes its worth it . It might be you next time that needs that extra time!
