Ratings for Dr. Richard A. Scott
Being nice in terms of affect and 'bedside manner', is only part of patient health care. Yes, Dr. Scott is nice, but his outstanding character, technical knowledge, surgery expertise and willingness to listen and address patient issues, regardless of content, better describes Dr. Scott. Who do you know would spend 4 hours in surgery aligning 2 buddy pins, such that perfect alignment was achieved? What doctor do you know actually listens and genuinely cares about a patients point-of-view with regard to their health care? When is the last time you heard a doctor say the patient was right and admit they were wrong? With that said, ask this guy a question and if he does not come up with the immediate answer, will posit a theory and/or find out. As a D.O., the added benefit of seeing Dr. Scott is that if you have another health issue unrelated to the present case, he will evaluate and treat (the consumate Doctor of Osteopathy). Try to find an MD or a D.O. who fits the above profile.
Dr. Scott is a wonderful kind man. He always finds time to listen and answer your questions. He seems like he really is glad to see you and makes you feel cared about. I have had surgery by Dr. Scott and if I needed surgery again, I would go back to him. I trust him and respect him. His office staff is as nice as he is and they always try to help you from getting an appt. to refilling a prescription.
