Ratings for Dr. Mark H. Cripe
Dr. Cripe is friendly and does speak in every day language which is helpful however the reasons I didn't give a perfect rating are because he will say things to further his plan of treatment that you can tell come from a place of assuming that the patient doesn't know any better and also because some of his staff does act very stuck up. Also, his nurse Melanie does not return calls often for days at a time if at all and can get snippy and cut you off & talk over you. He also only has office hours on Wednesdays and only sees established patients in the afternoon; something that can make scheduling very difficult. I have seen him both in the office and for a surgery and while my particular condition is hard to treat, he has seemed to do his best but is terrible about giving home care instructions for wounds/incisions.
I have been seeing Dr. Cripe for the last 2 years due to an ongoing condition. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He calms any concerns and speaks in every day language. He makes sure you understand what is going on, what your options are, and what future care looks like. He is thorough in his care. Also, Tracy, his assistant, while somewhat standoffish, is very courteous and friendly once you get past the initial impression. I am very happy that I have found this doctor and would recommend him to anyone.
Very knowledable and friendly. I gained a lot of information about my condition in the one visit I had with him. Highly recommended...however, his staff could be more friendly and helpful. The good cop/bad cop thing might help the practice run smoother but people come there when they are scared. Try being warm, friendly, and reassuring.
