Ratings for Dr. Neil F. Goodman
Dr. Goodman is wonderful. Unfortunately, his staff is not. They do not care about you. I have called 4 days in a row waiting for them to fill a prescription for synthroid which I am critically low on. It is unacceptable and I will not be seeing the doctor in the future because of the staff
I have seen Dr. Goodman on an annual basis for hypothroidism for the last 5 years. Unfortunately, he seems more preoccupied with generating money for his practice in treating his fertility patients than in treating his regular endocrinology patients. This is a trend that I have noticed with him over the last couple of visits. I walked out of his office this month for a scheduled appointment that I waited over two months to obtain, after waiting over 1 1/2 hours in his waiting room. There was no apology or explanation given by him or any of his staff for why all of his fertility patients were being seen while I waited over 1 1/2 hours in his lobby. I finally gave up and left. His staff is rude and unhelpful when it comes to refilling prescriptions, and will not respond to my pharmacy's calls or emails. I have no intention of returning to see Dr. Goodman again.
This is an incredible doctor. Very observant, courteous and he truly cares. It's very rare to find someone who is professional and knows what he's talking about. Dr. Goodman really took care of me when I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I only wish he was under my insurance carrier so I would continue to see him on a yearly basis. All high five's for this doctor. He is so awesome...
His a great Dr. I would recommended him to anyone that is going through menopause.
He is warm, caring and just a fantastic doctor. He doesn't treat you like you're in a factory. When you walk in, the staff is friendly, and your wait time is minimum. During your first appointment, he sits with you and actually talks to you for about 30 an hour to 45 minutes. I recommend him for those with issues like hypothyroidism or PCOS, and want to get preganant.
Dr.Goodman & staff are quite simply, AMAZING!He is one one of the last few who take pride in doing things right, never takes shortcuts and has an incredible bedside manner. He is extremely thorough and will do whatever it takes to get to find a solution. All he asks is that you fully commit and ask questions if you need to. I can't tell you how many people I see walk in there demanding special treatment with an air of entitlement, when they aren't willing to compromise themselves on what the treatment may ask for. Bottom line...HE is WORTH it, regardless if you have insurance or not. We have been with him for over a year now and have no regrets. Best of luck to you all.
Dr. Goodman was initially very helpful, took time to sit down w/ us and gather our full health picture to assist w/ infertility and PCOS. We did 6 IUI's all unsuccessful. We told Dr. Goodman that we were going to move onto artificial insemination since the IUI's were not working. He was offended, and treated us like traitors, totally turned his back on us. We later found out from the new Dr. that a crucial test was not ordered by dr. goodman, and my husband was very upset when it turned out that I needed surgery to correct the issue prior to any fertility procedures. We were unknowingly fighting a losing battle when doing the IUI's! In addition, Erica, Dr. Goodman's ultrasound nurse, was nasty, angry, moody, snarky, making the experience very unpleasant. In addition, he put me on metformin for insulin resistance, but never explained that it meant I was prediabetic, which I had to find out from another dr. So, no won't recommend due to these issues.
