Ratings for Dr. John C. Carroll
I have been a patient of Dr Carroll's for approxally 4 years now,he did my surgery which I am so pleased with the results. He is an excellent Dr and would recommend him to family and friends.Staff makes you feel comfortable. I give them 5 out of 5 Stars for excellent s.
Waiting in this almost warehouse setting is unsettling, but I coped during my two visits. Dr. Carroll is extremely pleasant, although he tosses out meds that are well-known as the only help for OAB. The office is what I consider incredibly inefficient: you can call and get a busy signal for hours. Or get through and then wait 20". You will be promised a call back and NEVER receive it. Or a prior authorization and NEVER get it. And this is the way a medical office is supposed to be run? I have never in my adult life experienced this and will not again, since I will get this last thing resolved and leave.
As a young woman with kidney stones it was very scary for me especially the pain and not understanding why? I have seen dr. Carroll for about 2 years and he is always very charming and does not leave till he knows I'm comfortable with the knowledge of my meds and what to expect.
My husband got sent to Dr. Carroll after doing two semen analysis both showing low sperm count. We waited a month for the appt and 30 minutes to see the doctor. Once he entered the room he literally spent a total of 5 minutes with us (this includes collecting a history and doing a 10 second exam). He reports he can't find anything abnormal (not sure if this is true or because he hardly examined my husband). He suggested a 3 month course of clomid. During this time he didn't take any blood work to see how his testosterone behaved on the clomid and I found out later that he put on double the dose that other doctors give men. After the 3 months my husband did another semen analysis and he went from a low count to an almost zero count. The only thing that happened in those 3 months was the clomid. After this Dr. Carroll refused to see us and says our only choice is ivf. I am now taking my husband to another urologist that knows about male infertility.
