Dr. Hart has refused to give me any kind of pain meds and falisifed my medical records by putting my active problem was a finger sprain. Arthrogram clearly indicated the tear. He does not work well with disabled patients. He was extremely rude to my husband and I and basically told me I was a 30 minutes or less in and out case and that if I wanted pain meds to get it from my regular doctors. He refused to give me any pain meds whatsoever after being to the ER 3 times in under a month. ER told me that Orthopedics would have to put me on a pain regiment and Dr. Hart has flat out refused. \r\n\r\nDr. Hart acted like I was a complete waste of his time and was a referral to me by Dr. Cassandra Lange who I had seen previously who offered me the option to have it surgically fixed which I accepted that route and knew what was involved due to prior family members having had similar surgies done, one on my husband side who was 4 months post op for a torn labrum. They both refused me pain meds and took forever to get in to see. They both put on my medical records that my active problem was a finger sprain. An arthorgram confirmed a left shoulder labral tear and have had limited use of my shoulder since. When I asked for the images on CD along with my medical records to obtain, Dr. Hart only gave me the xrays but did not give me the MRI imaging that showed the tear on there to prevent me from getting my shoulder fixed so he Illegally withheld additional medical records from me and wrote a very arrogant report on me in my medical records also calling me morbidly obese and I am not anywhere in that category frame wise. His report was nothing but slanderous and arrogance. Legally he can not withhold any information. I have lost 3 months of sleep because of the pain and they still refuse any pain meds. \r\n\r\nDr. Hart also refused to allow me to share with him about past surgical experiences and cut me off alot telling me that what was in the past was in the past and to move on and get over it. He mocked me for being on oxygen for my lungs and for my fear of needles because I have had a bad past with them. \r\n\r\nWhent he Arthogram was scheduled by Dr. Lange, she refused me any medication for my anxiety as this is one of my medical conditions. Dr. Hart had no compassion whatsoever with me and his 'niceness\" only lasted about 3 seconds. He even refused to let my husband speak when I was fishing for words. Dr. Hart insulted me multiple times and when I tried to acknowledge my understanding of surgery, he insulted me stating that He didnt feel that I knew the risks when I infact have had prior surgeries in the past and clearly understood them. \r\n\r\nI love to do research and help another minister as well and when I explained to Dr. Hart that I wanted to prepare for the appointment by reading up on the labral tear he insulted me and said \" Are you done talking? can I talk now and tell you what I need you to hear, what I want you to hear what need to know. Are you ready to hear what I have to say or are you going to talk like you have the entire appointment?\" IT was comments like this and otehrs that he made to me that make me feel extremely uncomfortable with and around him. I will DEFINITELY NOT be referring him to anyone I would not even allow him to treat my 2 cats. \r\n\r\nI have never dealt with ortho before and this has been the worst experience ever with him that I have ever had. If you are smart you will all run the other way and find another doctor who is more compassionate and caring and doesn't discriminate against the disabled. That is basically what they did was discriminate against me... Both of them wrote in my medical records as if I were making everything up and he said that my tear was miniscule and nothing for him to be concerned about. Dr. Lange wrote in my medical records that had she not ordered the arthorgram she felt like I would not have been able to move on with my life and move forward. I felt completely insulted by them both and I will not refer either of them. PCI clinic in Iowa is one of the worst places I have been to... I did not want to go to them in the first place but here in Cedar Rapids we are limited on options for things of this nature. Anyone who asks me I will tell them to go to another doctor. Do not I repeat DO NOT go to Dr. Hart. People may say how nice he is or how good he is, but people can and do change and everything people have said about him being nice and professional and courteous was definitely not the case with me.
