I would just like to say thank you to this man he saved my life and is an incredible surgeon. On Wednesday it is coming up on 21 years since my car accident. I can honestly say if it wasn't for him I would not be here and have a chance with my own amazing family! Thank you from the bottom of my heart... xoxo

I had him for the removal to two toe nails (big toes, on separate days) because of chronic ingrown nails. He had to drag every person from the hall in to see "the worst he's ever seen". Thanks, but what about my privacy? He gave me meds for pain that I couldn't take and he knew that but only after complaining quite loudly that I had gone through the first recovery without any relief, did he get me a script for something different. He also did my gallbladder surgery (is there no other surgeon at this hospital???). I was pretty much having a panic attack while waiting to go into the pre op area. The nurses just ignored me and I was alone, so didn't have anyone to help me. I was poked a rediculous number of times for the IV. There was no explanation of the surgery and they were strapping me down while I was still awake which diddn't help my panic. No follow-up afterwards. Complained to the hospital and when they found out I was admited for my depression, wrote me off as a nut-case.

Dr. Gonser saved my sister's life. I owe him everything for keeping her here with us. He jumped in the ambulance with her to transport her to London after she ruined his shoes on Easter weekend by bleeding out. They told us she had less than 5% to live. Without him she may not have. THANK YOU DR.GONSER!

My husband was sent to Gonser from his family physician in Dec. 2012-physician sent Gonser ct scan and Gonser advised us my husband had an abscess in colon and put him on antibiotics after weeks of antibiotics not working Gonser did another ct and advised us that infection from abscess had spread to liver and continued him on iv antibiotics at home. Eventually my husband became so sick we had to take him to UH in London where he had emergency surgery. The surgeon advised us that it was indeed cancer and spread to many parts of his body. We later found out that Gonser had an inkling that it could be cancer ("but was pretty sure it was an abscess")-We are devastated that Gonser didn't approach it and do further research in the beginning to check for cancer instead of calling it an abscess. It was a very aggressive cancer and we are saddened that Gonser didn't further pursue his "inkling" at the beginning. We buried my husband 7wks after the surgeon in London diagnosed him!
