It was my first visit with he, I arrived on time at 4:30, and had paperwork fill out. The office is empty at this point. As I'm about to finish the last page a lady walks in, Dr. Lifrak just happened to be speaking with the receptionist at the time she walks in. The lady ignores I'm even there and goes right to the Dr. and asks if she can go ahead of me. The receptionist said he's working on his paperwork, so she said yes to seeing the lady. Without even asking how far along I was, which was done at this point, she escorted the lady back, and didn't even give any recognition I was there. So I wait 40 min for their 'conversation' was over. The lad left, and it's only me in the waiting room. I can hear her in the back doing nothing, went to the bathroom and who knows what. 20 min later I'm in her office. She asked me the normal, age, medications, single/married questions, then says 'what brings you here. I told her that in grduate school I started add after being diagnosed by UMass' head psych doc. Before I say a word, she changed demeanor very abruptly and with a high tone said 'I DONT PRESCRIBE STIMULANTS' . Almost as if it was obvious she has been getting looked into for over prescribing and that's all I wanted. I'm an Environmental Engineer with 2 masters from D1 and Ivy league universities. It was obvious she was terrified about something and/or anything involving prescriptions. I never said what happened, she just assumed. I then proceeded to explain minor depression, her asking no questions, she made me self diagnoce... Worst physician I literally have ever been to, and I have epilepsy, moved a buch; therefor multiple different types of physicians have been seen by myself... Seriously DO NOT VISIT HER!!! After some research, some of which I had o pay for, I found out her license is in incredible jeopardy right now... TURN AROUND BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!!

This Dr is a nightmare! Her office is in a strip mall and is filthy!!! She laughs inappropriately and is only about money, not her patients. I was in a car accident and couldn't get in there any sooner. She would not refill my prescriptions, and will only do so when she sees me and is back from vacation on March 27th. I am out and needed something until she's back on the 27th. She refused. And again, even though I couldn't get in there after the accident. I have been taking my prescriptions for years now and I will go through withdrawal if I don't get them. What kind of Dr doesn't care about the circumstances and is not open to help. I'm not even asking for a month, just enough to get me by before she can see me. It's not my problem that she is unavailable and on vacation. Avoid this Dr at all costs. She only accepts cash and when you do get an appointment, you wait for hours which is so unacceptable. She is inconsiderate and only there for the money! She has terrible reviews and should have her license revoked. I will be doing everything and anything I can to make that happen. She messed with the wrong person!

Dr. Lifrak is a very knowledge and helpful doctor. She has a unique combination of being board certified in addition and also child psychiatry. People who say that she runs her clinic like a methadone clinic-she is a subconscious doctor and specializes in ADDICTION. She has addicts and recovering addicts coming to see her. As far as appointment times-she's a psychiatrist. She deals with addicts. Do you know how many missed appointments she would have if she relied on addicts with mental issues to arrive on time? Unfortunately this can affect child appointments but that is scheduling and unreliable patients as is common with psychiatry and addictions. She is a good doctor and I'll trust her with my child. To the person who asked who used a pager? 90% of doctors who are on call or want to be available foreemergencies after hours use a pager! Also. The person who arrived 30 minutes late for her sons Rx and I'd angry bc the doctor was doing her job and with a patient? You were late. Maybe she spreads herself too thin but she's a caring psychiatrist and better educated and more qualified than many.

Worst Dr ever for a child. Horrible with her time management. Appointments were cancelled without a courtesy xxx all , drive 15 miles to find the office pitch black and no note or even a call back when I paged her. WHO USES A PAGER NOW DAYS? I would not send my worst enemy there. I asked to pick up my son's script at 5:30 before he starred school the next day, I arrived at 6:00 and she said I wasn't here so I had to wait until she was done with her patient. Really I need his script lady. I say after her investigation is complete her and her husband will be done with their practices. They both are all about money and they both are whacko.

I would never go to this doctor again. It was more than obvious that she cared only about money not her patients. If this wasn't the case then why is everyone waiting for hours? I saw the Dr. yelling at the staff while they were on the phones about what seemed to be nothing of an emergency. Your visit is only for 5 min. She didn't remember anything that was told to her about my son and was preoccupied with texting on her phone during my son's visit. I did some research and found out she is being investigated and she is on the verge of losing her license. According to some patients in the waiting room, previously the office was run like a methadone clinic. They stated that anyone could get Xanax from this doctor and that she was under investigation. Something must have happened because according to the signs in the waiting area, she will no longer give Xanax and Adderall. What is going on in this office. The staff was very helpful and friendly and put patients at ease.

I have been going to Dr. Lifrak since 09, I have had depression since 9th grade. It took almost 5yrs until I finally got the right combo of meds to make me feel normal, then in April of 2013 I went in to get my refills and the next month called them in at the pharmacy , they inform me she called and cancelled the refills of my anxiety meds. I go to her office and see '' As of April 16th she will no longer give zanex when I was there two days before that and 1 the sign was not there and 2 she still prescribed me the meds knowing this was going to happen. Then she says if you go through withdraw go to the ER and they were give u a couple. Really!!! She put on her note she was worried about misuse but everyone in there knows it's cause she's being investigated. For someone who is taking care of people with mental problems and knows how people with mental issues feel without the right meds, she sure doesn't care, not to mention she keeps making me try all these different meds that don't work.

Dr. Lifrak is not a pill pusher but she is manipulated easy and eventually will give you what you want. She is strict with her scripts putting "a please fill on" date so u can't get your meds til you are completely out and when you are due for a new script you have to get there at like 8:00 am to wait in line for sign in at 9:30 am which is not fun when it's freezing or raining... If you get there after they open you can expect to be seen well close to dinner time. I got there at 10 am one day and wasn't seen until 8pm and she didnt even change the meds I was taking even though they weren't working. Her and her husband, dr. Irwin Lifrak are money hungry doctors, he is a doc and lawyer and they don't care about their patients. Just recently she put a stop on all new hand written scripts on Benzos and Amphetamines. From what I've been reading both of them have been under investigation several times... Makes you wonder what she did now. Her patients are mostly junkies. Drug deals are norm
