Dr. Welch made a small surgery into a much larger surgery because he said, "You are big" he said. I was big before surgery when he promised that only 1/2 inch incisions would be required in two places. But when I woke up it was two incisions which was 2 inches and 3 inches in length. Needle biopsies would have sufficed, except his office scared me because they told me the needle would make the sound of a gun. And I could hear these sounds in his office. But those needle biopsies are done in the Hospital, not in his office. I have had several and there is a little pain, but not enough to take five inches of stitches in a hospital. He was working for Connecticut General Surgeons who was giving bonuses to doctors for the # of surgeries they do every month. I believe the same office was taken over by Hartford Hospital Hartford Medical Group.
