Ratings for Dr. Gerald W. Friend
Regarding the post below, not the dramatic contrast to the rest of the reviews. Did this woman give her child a sugar high before the dental visit? Did she bring the child after school when she was hungry and tired? Is she a welfare mom who is getting the services for free? Certainly she takes no responsibility for her child's behavior. She was allowed to witness the treatment... This violates protocol.... Did she demand to do that expecting her child to misbehave? Did she deny Dr. Friend his use of nitrous oxide? It sounds like it to me. I've assisted dentists for many years. As with all these viscous attacks, there is a spoiled brat in there somewhere, and a discerning eye can expose it. I hope I have raised some valid points. Being a children's dentist is considered a fatal condition to most in the profession due to the stress of the work.
Horrible experience twice with dr friend. Will never go back. He was very rude and rough with my child . No patience with her being scared. First experience he got angry, pulled his gloves off, threw them down and left the room. Second experience he gave her shots and continued even though it was very clearly not numb yet. Proceeded to pull three teeth and she had tears running down her face. He told her "I'm not hurting you... Calm down!!" Never again!
He has been great!!! I know alot of people that use him for their kids and they all think highly of him and his staff..VERY caring and great with kids. Very knowledgable and up to date. Kids love this place with Tvs on the ceiling and toys afterwards. They talk to the kids on there level and the kids aren't scared to go. I can't say enought great things about Dr.Friend and his staff and the clinic setup.
