Vanderbilt University Medical Center is notoriously known for disrespect of patients, and we have experienced what we have heard about them in these past 10 years. Disrespect of the patient, violations of civil rights and patient rights, ignoring patient, refusing to add amendments to medical records with bullet proof proof of negligence by doctors and nurses and other hospital staff, rudeness, refusing to put the truth in writing, denying HIPAA privacy breaches, ETC. Arrogant overpaid medical providers and employees. Will not ever go here again. We do not recommend Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The patient ended up with severe damage as a result of their behavior and the ongoing staff protecting the Vanderbilt employee NOT the patient.
When Tristar Summit treated my daughter as if she were seeking narcotics, Vanderbuilt saved her life. This previously healthy 32 yr old cross fitness active woman presented with chest pain radiating down her arm- incompacitating. She was diagnosed by Vanderbuilt in 30 min, admitted to the hospital and pain under control after being "triaged by TriStar" and made to wait in line to be seen with pericarditis with effusion that was extending into her left lung. I cannot say enough good things about Vanderbuilt and the excellent care they gave. I would go no where else after this!
