I am a medical professional myself with 25 yrs in emergency care and had a breakdown. I had my eyes opened wide as I went to a different hospital for privacy issues. I was verbally abused by the ER charge Nurse and when I explained to the ER Doctor I appreciated he had to confirm I had any medical conditions of any kind that might need treating but I did not, that I am not feeling safe and am having thoughts of suicide. Wow! He TOLD ME he will be the of what I need treatment for and if I am feeling suicidal. Now I am a highly educated man with a strong backbone (not today) so I can only imagine how a person who has limitations or vulnerabilities would have felt. I politely but FIRMLY told him to leave. It only got worse by Dr. Mathews the psychiatrist. What an arrogant cold jerk. Time for you sir to apply for a position with the coroner or retrain as a surgeon. He immediately thought I was there looking for options and hit me with a barrage of questions. Physically I appeared like a mess but I did not get a word in in the whole 7 minutes he questioned me without letting me answer once. The nurse Ratchet gave me a 5 day prescription for Wellbutron and told me I can go, I kept saying that I am suicidal and terrified and DIANE said, well we don't think you are so you have to leave. I stopped- she had both hands on my shoulder and one on my elbow (assault and battery) and then I told her who I was and my plans to file a complaint with the police and every Licensing body regarding EVERY MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL I ENCOUNTERED (last week or so). As a medical practitioner, I caution any and everyone to avoid this hospital unless it is a true emergency
