If you’re on new meds, this should be one of the first things you check, when suffering from nightmares. Some medications may cause nightmares as a side effect. If this happens, ask your doctor if an alternative drug is available.

4) A Fever

It’s well known that kids can suffer through terrible nightmares when they’re sick. It’s no different for adults. If you’re fighting off a bug and feverish, this could tip your sleeping mind over to the dark side.
