Indulge Guilt-Free in these Cappuccino, Coconut Cream Brownies

Indulge Guilt-Free in these Cappuccino, Coconut Cream Brownies

Can’t decide on a decadent dessert that won’t destroy your diet?

Well, these cappuccino brownie bites – filled with coconut cream – are the guilt-free, low calorie treat that should certainly be a consideration for your chocolate craving. Semi-sweet chocolate like what’s used in this recipe has fewer calories than an ordinary glass of chocolate milk, and the hit of espresso powder adds a jolt to your metabolism.

And since these are mere ‘bites’, it’s a snack with built-in portion control, keeping you from packing on extra fat or calories.

The brownies take about as long as it would take you to visit your local grocery store, and buy store-bought brownies – about 20 minutes from start to finish.

As shown in the video, courtesy of Health.com, you’ll need the basic baking staples to start – butter, cooking spray, flour, vanilla, sugar, brown sugar, and an egg.

Gathering the ingredients is the most work; once the semi-sweet chocolate is melted, and stirred until smooth, just add the rest of the ingredients into the mix. From there, pour into mini-muffin tins, and start baking.

And we couldn’t call these cappuccino brownies without some sort of whipped topping. To finish your treats, consider a spoonful of easy-to-prepare, dairy-free coconut cream.

Put a can of full-fat coconut milk in the fridge overnight. When you open the can the next day, take off the part at the top – the cream – and whip that up. It’s naturally sweet, so don’t add any extra sugars or sweeteners!

That’s all there is to it! We’d end off saying ‘share with your friends’, but we wouldn’t blame you for being a brownie hog.
