Calloused Feet? Get Sexy Using These 5 Common Ingredients

Calloused feet: they don’t affect your health… but are they sexy? This is the key issue.

These days, it’s the dominant trend just about everywhere. Take Donald Trump, for instance.

Is he sexy? How UNSEXY is he? What about Melania? Yes, obviously she’s sexy but HOW sexy? And what about your cheese? Your car? Your house- is IT sexy? Well, yes, it’s pretty gosh darn sexy AND clean, but-and this is true-…it’s NOT sexy if your home turns into the hospital.

Which could happen if you get a pedicure-gone-wrong. Take Lisa Cefali’s case for instance.

This Canadian woman from Winnipeg, Manitoba went to visit the spa for a routine pedicure, and ended up… in the hospital.

You got it. Everything went wrong.

How? It was just before heading on a vacation to Italy with her family.

Cefali claims she went to the spa for a pedicure, and was jabbed by one of the tools used by her aesthetician. She jumped out of her seat at the sharp poke, but then things carried on as normal.

However, a few days later she felt chills and light headed and by the time she was in line to get on the plane to Europe almost a week later, she could hardly walk.

With pain in her legs, inflammation and flu-like symptoms, she was rushed to the nearest emergency room just minutes before boarding the plane.

Cefali had a horrible staphylococcal infection.

She ended up being treated heavily with serious combination of medications to fight off the problem.

Thankfully she didn’t lose her leg, but a seven-day hospital stay has made her think twice about ever paying for a foot scrub and polish ever again.

Should you be afraid, too? No. Becoming severely infected at the spa is a rarity, so this isn’t meant to insight fear.

However, if you’re interested in alternatives that can help you save a few dollars and some commuting time, check out these home remedies for softer feet.

Here are 5 household ingredients for prettier paws. Buy a pumice stone and soften those toes in time for the holidays with these 5 simple solutions:

1) Soak in Epsom Salts

This one is easy. Soak your feet in half a cup of Epsom salts mixed with about 2 quarts of warm water. Soak your tootsies for as long as you’d like, and preferably at least 10 minutes.

This should be the right amount of time to soften that tough skin. Grab your pumice and scrub away!

2) Get Some Cotton Balls…

Get some cotton balls, and then source yourself some apple cider vinegar and tape. Soak the cotton in the vinegar and tape it to your feet, covering the calluses. Put some socks on over this mess, and leave it overnight.

The apple cider vinegar can be strong, so target only the calluses with it. In the morning, strip the cotton away and exfoliate your feet. Rinse them off and slather in a great moisturizer. Voila!

3) Use Olive Oil

Olive oil is more often used with your spaghetti, but it can do wonders for your feet as well. Rub the oil over your feet and then sleep with socks on over top, just like the apple cider vinegar.

The following day, remove your socks, soak in warm water and scrub.

4) Use Lemon Juice

Soak your feet in a gallon of water with two cups of lemon juice added in. Rinse and scrub.

5) Crush Some Aspirin

If you have diabetes or other complications, ask your doctor about this one before using it.

Take 5 to 6 Aspirin pills and crush them into a powder. Mix this with a ½ teaspoon of lemon juice and ¼ teaspoon of water.

Then apply this paste to your feet and place them in a plastic bag or Saran Wrap for about 10 minutes.

When you take the plastic off, rinse your feet in warm water and start scrubbing.

Good luck with those feet!
