I love baking Christmas cookies. It’s actually the one time every year that I break out the ancient cookbooks sitting on the shelf in the kitchen, and dive into my mom’s old recipes.
Sure, the same ones are out there somewhere on the Internet but with the food-stained book I get to review them with all those side notes in her handwriting, and celebrate a few of the delicious things she loved.
