A 101 year old woman from Canada inspired the child in all of us when she got out of her son’s car this week, to play in the snow.
Armand Foisy of Lillooet, a town found on Canada’s western coast in the province of British Columbia, was having a relaxing day with his wife and mother, Albina, when it started to snow. Looking for a bit of adventure, the trio got in the car for a trip to check out the winter wonderland.
The snow was falling but not deep, and it wasn’t too cold out.
Armand stopped the car along Highway 99, about three-and-a-half kilometers south of Lillooet. He was trying to see if there was any traffic coming. There wasn’t any but there was a surprise! It was then that Albina stepped out of the car unannounced. It was time to play in the snow!

According to a written statement on Youtube, Albina turned 101 on October 6th, 2015.
She lived on her own until she reached 100, and she now lives with her son and daughter-in-law. She still mainly takes care of herself, her son says.
“When you have a mother who’s 101 years old, it’s a good idea to keep the camera nearby for those special moments,” Armand states.
“When you’re 101 the wheels start to fall off, but not mentally. That’s the amazing thing about her (his mom). Her strength and her joy of living is not diminished one iota. She laughs at everything, she’s so giving.”
Albina was thrilled to have some winter fun. A few days later she had just as much fun watching herself become a star on the news, for the very first time.
