Trans fats are a ball of evil. They might taste pretty good, but the fact is that they can wreak havoc in your body.
What makes trans fats so bad? Basically, they raise the level of bad cholesterol in your body all while simultaneously lowering the good. Like a band of internet-based terrorists, there’s nothing good about them, to the core.
In fact, the findings were so significant that both the U.S and Canada are said to be looking at eliminating or greatly reducing trans fats found in food products in both countries, in the years to come.
You can find trans fats, or hydrogenated oils as they’re often called, present in many processed foods such as baked goods, fried snack foods and margarine. Manufacturers include them in these foods because they extend shelf life, and can also add to the overall flavor and texture of what you’re eating.
