I’ve worked with Tracy for two pregnancies because I felt so well cared for during my first. Tracy is so experienced and knowledgeable and truly cares for the whole patient. If you are looking for someone to give you their very well-informed and honest opinion on any question or worry, or someone to look carefully-but-non-judgmentally at every decision during pregnancy and birth and postpartum, Tracy is the midwife for you.

Tracy Franklin's response
Thank you for the kind review. I love supporting women through pregnancy, labour and the postpartum. I especially love providing continuity of care and staying on call for my clients. And it's always special when clients return for care in subsequent pregnancies--taking care of women I have gotten to know is the best part of my job:)

I was so incredibly lucky to have Tracy as my midwife for my first birth. She is so experienced, compassionate, knowledgeable, direct, non judgmental. She was available to me for silliest of questions and never made me feel foolish for asking at the same time she is direct and gives you honest straight answers. From my first meeting with Tracy I felt like I was with an old friend who happens to be an absolute expert in child birth. My "birth plan" didn't go as planned and I ended up having my baby turn breech 2 weeks before he was due - Tracy was with me every step of the way to better understand what would happen with the scheduled C section. The after care with Tracy and the midwifes collective on Bloor was next level. I don't know what I would have done without her in my first 4 weeks home. Having someone like Tracy, with her expertise that I could call or text in those first weeks home was something I will appreciate for years to come. Without Tracy and her student midwife Bruna I am not sure I would have succeeded at breast feeding as it took a long time for my milk to establish and my baby to learn how to suck. Having them so accessible made it all possible and I am forever grateful for that! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Tracy and her team!

I've had Tracy as my primary Midwife for both of my pregnancies and I can't imagine how she could be a better care provider. She's undeniably special. Tracy empowers her clients to advocate for their needs every step of the way. She's extremely knowledgeable and always provided me with all the facts, so I could make informed decisions. Tracy listens. When it comes to providing care throughout one of the most significant times in a person's life, listening is key; no one wants to go through pregnancy and delivery feeling like they weren't heard. Tracy doesn't judge. She puts you at ease with her calm demeanor and how confident she is in her work. You can trust Tracy. My appointments felt like I was visiting a close friend, because I always felt comfortable discussing even the most sensitive pregnancy and post-partum topics with Tracy. She's kind, personable and funny. Tracy was patient when it came to teaching me how to breastfeed and she worked with me and my first baby until breastfeeding felt natural. For my second pregnancy, I wanted a VBAC but was nervous about some of the associated risks. Tracy helped ease my worries and addressed all of my concerns along the way. She empowered me to be brave. I'm so thankful, because now when I look back at my successful VBAC delivery, I feel immense pride and joy. If you're on the fence about choosing a Midwife, it might be because you've yet to meet Tracy!

Early in my first pregnancy I had signed up for care under an OB -- but by chance, my husband met Tracy on the baseball field and she suggested I explore midwifery care for my pregnancy. At that time, I had no idea about midwives and what that meant for me, my baby or my family. After a consultation with Tracy, we quickly knew she was special.  Now, one hospital birth and one home birth later we are so thankful to have met Tracy and had her as our midwife for both pregnancies. I credit Tracy for two very positive birth experiences, and for quelling any hesitation or fear I had along the way. If you're lucky enough to have Tracy as your midwife, you will receive excellent care - that's a baseline for her. You will have a midwife who is not only whip smart but one who relies on her extensive knowledge, years of experience and incredible intuition. Tracy is the senior midwife who student midwives hope they are assigned to  - true mentor, teacher and master in her field. On top of all of that, Tracy is kind, personable yet direct, and fun.  I am so fortunate to have had her support me through one of life's most exciting journeys (twice!) and recommend her to anyone seeking outstanding care throughout their pregnancy.

Tracy is a perfect balance of compassion, knowledge, and experience. She is generous with her time and gives her clients the best care without fail during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. Tracy is extremely dedicated and, I daresay, talented at bringing babies into this world.

My wife and I felt so comfortable and positive about Tracy's care with our first son that we followed her from one practice to another for our second. She provided only the most professional and humanistic care before, during, and after their births, and we would recommend her highly to anyone considering midwifery care - and even those who have not!

Tracy delivered both of my boys, in fact I followed her to a different collective for my second. She is extremely knowledgeable, straight to the point, trustworthy and kind. She is excellent at what she does. I also got to experience Tracy for a birth in hospital and at home (which was not planned). In both scenarios I felt like I couldn't have been in better hands. She provides guidance along the way which put me at ease both times. She is calm, cool and collected. Get her. She is the best.

Tracy went above and beyond the call of duty for us. She gives it to you straight and to the point, which is exactly what I needed. On top of that she's got an awesome personality. You are lucky if you get her as a midwife! Can't go wrong
