I would not recommend this psychiatrist. In my opinion she had absolutely no real interest in my mental health (Bi-polar 2), no care and absolutely no responsibility to me as a patient. At each visit, if I said the very strong anti- psychotic medicine that she had written a script for, didn't seem to be working, she just gave me another script for another really strong medication.... even though the previous medication was still in my blood stream and would have been dangerous. Indeed now, with much more knowledge of my condition, I realise years later, this medication sent me into a very frightening mental state that I did not understand at the time. She charged $300 per visit at the time and I as a pensioner could not afford more than a few visits which in retrospect was a very good thing for me. I cannot remember any personal discussion about my illness -just getting a script.
This was about 8 years ago and I still remember her indifference.

Dr Splatt is very professional, genuinely caring and realistic. She has helped me enormously. She has real empathy that is tempered by objectivity. I can't thank her enough for her patience and great management.

Dr Splatt helped me initially. She seemed to be very caring. As soon as she had contact by phone from my very strong, manipulative socialite sister she turned against me. This was over a childhood sexual abuse story. Be careful, Dr Sue will go where the power is!

I saw this Dr when I first recognised the relaping signs of major depression and anorexia, reaching out to try to prevent it from spiralling out of control again... her advice 'go for a run, that will get your endorphins going and you'll feel better' - i was running over 40km a week - and shock horror, i have relapsed back in to the dark cave. Left feeling worse and more helpless than before. Would not recommend.

I saw Sue when I was in a terrible mental state. She watched me bawl for 1/2 hr and then asked question after question about my childhood - trying to relate my depression back to some sort of childhood trauma - in my first session! When I told her my sister was in a same-sex relationship she wrote down “Sister = g ay.” It was so strange! Ugh the whole thing just made me incredibly uncomfortable and isolated. Charged me $380, I left feeling worse than I’ve ever felt. She might work for other people in a different state - but for me it was a very unpleasant experience.

Dr Splatt will work against you if it's in her personal interest. Anyone with any work injury don't see her.
