Biography

Dr. Shannon Cairns is from nearby Allen, Texas, and is a proud Allen High School grad. Although, she spent most of her childhood in Texas, she could not deny her Sooner roots, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma. Boomer! Dr. Shannon’s love of science and medicine led her to move to chilly Chicago, Illinois, where she attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. She first became interested in podiatry, after losing a battle with a very sharp thorn to the foot. (Ask her about it when you come in!) Dr. Shannon was lucky to have met her husband while attending podiatry school, and after completing her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree she relocated to Florida, to be near Dr. Daniel’s family. She completed her residency training at Jackson South Community Hospital, an affiliate of the Jackson Health System. There she served as the Chief Resident, and developed invaluable skills and knowledge to enhance her passion for podiatric medicine and surgery. Dr. Shannon is excited to have relocated back to Texas, and cannot wait to get involved in the community. She enjoys spending time with her young children, and making fun family memories. Dr. Shannon is passionate about helping people put their “best foot forward”…and Oklahoma Football!
