This is a very late review. Dr. Fineman saw my son for ongoing therapy several years ago. He was diagnosed with Pediatric Bipolar Disorder and saw her for over a year. Biggest waste of money ever. Finally pulled the plug when my son used to come back to the car crying hysterically after seeing her. Her lack of awareness around Bipolar Disorder was definitely detrimental to this family. She is book-smart but not street smart and was in no position on how to advise on family relationships/peer relationships for my son

We saw this doctor in June during Covid for an evaluation to see if my teenage daughter is on the spectrum. My husband and I first had a video conference with her and spent two hours talking with her. After our talk she thought my daughter may be on the spectrum so we set up an in-person, 1-1 evaluation. She spent a total of 3-1/2 hours with her. When we had the follow-up meeting she flatly denied that she was anywhere on the spectrum. Even though both her old psychologist, old psychiatrist, and her current psychiatrist all believe that she is on the spectrum. Dr. Fineman diagnosed my daughter with depression and anxiety. She even went so far as to say that my daughter is popular at school. I asked her how she knew that since she never even observed my daughter at school or in a social setting. She said that my daughter told her. What!!?? She took the word of a 13-year-old whose parents were looking to see if she has some form of autism. Is it customary to take the word of the child your evaluating over the parents, a psychologist who saw her weekly for six years, and a psychiatrist who has seen her for five years? In fact, she never even called her psychiatrist for input. The only time my daughter’s psychiatrist (an MD) talked with Dr. Fineman (a Ph.D) is when she was giving the doctor her findings and then berating her for diagnosing my daughter with Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder. BTW, my daughter does have DMDD despite what Dr. Fineman said. This was a HUGE waste of over $3000. My DH and I thought we were getting answers to after years of searching for the right diagnosis. Unfortunately, we came away confused, upset, and right back where we started.

Worst psych ever. Agree with all the other bad reviews. All she sees is ASD maybe because she wants to mooch parents by selling her "therapy", whether needed or not. Steer clear.

I should have seen the one bad review and not taken my kid to this quack. Waste of money, waste of time. A wrong diagnosis can be very costly for the health of the entire family. She also just kept on reminding us of her fee, had no staff. Poor experience. Beware of this quack.

Dr. Finemann is very good at her job. She was able to determine the right diagnosis, when another psy got it wrong after 3 attempts. Not only did she get it right, but she was able to get my 5 year old to buy into the testing process. I have had her sit in on school meetings. I have even had her retest my tween daughter. I recommend her to everyone. She is a solid provider

Dr Fineman gave our child the wrong diagnosis. She exhausted our 5 year old during a too long evaluation. The lengthy evaluation did not seem appropriate at the time but I didn't know better back then. Get a referral from others for a good psychologist.
