Infertility is hard enough, having a doctor who has some sort of compassion would be helpful. Gave us zero insight, Google gave us more information than her.
I would highly recommend avoiding RFP and Dr. Paterson.

As others have mentioned , if you are going to the fertility clinic I would also recommend trying to switch your appointment to a different doctor. I had my first appointment with Dr. Peterson and it gave me a negative overall impression of the clinic. I was hesitant to go back to the clinic at all and considered clinics in Vancouver instead. She rushed us through our first appointment and seemed annoyed when we had questions. She even referred us to their website to learn about what they offer. Fertility is an incredibly personal and emotional journey. She made us feel like we were inconveniencing her by being there. If you are looking to feel supported, seen and heard, I would highly highly recommend another doctor.

If you are having fertility problems & get assigned to this doctor, you should try and switch and get another doctor. Her bed side manner is terrible. She seems annoyed when you are asking questions and need more information. She does not explain anything and pretty much wants you out of your office as quickly as possible. We saw her twice, each time 8 weeks apart and out meeting were no longer than 4 minutes each, and not by choice.
She rolls her eyes at you if you have a question and she seems annoyed every time you have a follow up question.
I can't speak to whether she is knowledgeable and knows her stuff but I can say her bed side manner and patience level is extremely low. Especially for something as sensitive and emotional as infertility and finding assisted ways of creating life.
