I could only say: "Thank you DR. Khan for supporting your patients even when you were on vacation or attending the conference in another country". Your patients have experienced a lot of hardships after your practiced have been closed.

No, I'm not the person who apparently threatened him. For those who love this man because he "listened" to you or treated your arachnophobia, I'm delighted for you. For those of you who may have been treated on the ward repeatedly and for weeks at a time? Perhaps a different story. You may have had no choice and were forced into the care of this man. If you found yourself regularly in the OR with this man you may have DEFINITELY had a different experience depending on your relationship with him. In my complaint to the College of Physicians and Surgeons (yes, cowards who only threaten to do it, I did it) I included a description of his witnessed treatment administered during a midnight session with him. The following quote really got my attention, and later that of my family. As a loved one, would you be concerned if your severely depressed family member heard this from their doctor? "If you commit suicide your family will get over it." After an hour of him berating me for not working and his second-guessing of my regular psychiatrist's diagnosis I was what I'll politely call a "mess". No yelling, screaming, etc. Nurse saw it all. I 've never identified her to anyone except the College. She was probably as terrified as I was, and those psych nurses, bless them, have seen some ( ). So complaint goes in and is ultimately dismissed as "not reaching the level required for a charge of unethical behavior." Apparently the College requires a witnessed rape or a body. That's okay. It’s on file with them, him and me. After that I always remained polite and compliant with all treatment staff (including him) each time I was readmitted. Fast forward. I'd been receiving psychiatric treatment in the OR for years. After a few complaints made to "someone upstairs" made on my behalf concerning his OR "banter" with me, (thank you OR nurses and Hospital social worker) he must have been developing a "dislike" of me. For my part, my request of OR staff was only to ensure that I was never treated by him without a witnessed. One fine morning in the OR I drew the short straw and this man was assigned to my treatment. While laying on the gurney, hooked up with IV and all the machines that go "ping", oxygen mask good to go, just waiting for my turn, psyching myself up, anesthetist readying drugs next door then a nurse approaches me with the news that "Dr Khan is refusing to treat you." I remained calm and quiet (okay maybe the BP monitor was reading a bit high). Eventually I had three nurses looking down on me apologizing profusely for the situation and inconvenience. They asked if I would mind coming in two days later for treatment with another doctor, etc (once more thank God for OR nurses). They unhooked me and an hour later I left never to see him again. If this sounds like a good psychiatrist, by all means keep praying for his return. If you're not sure, at least for the sake of those he's tortured, shop and compare if you're able to. And for the love of God stop rating this man 5/5 stars because he reminds you of a kind uncle who moved away.

His official story and what he has told his former patients about the closure of his practice are very different. Something is amiss , and looks very suspicious on his part...

Hi I have to say that doctor Khan was the best psychiatrist that I ever have met. He actually listened to me. And he understand cand was concerned about what I have told him. He diagnosed me properly. He told me A story That was related to something to relate with what I was going through and It clarified what I needed to do. He was very intelligent I thought. And I wish he was still around because he is the only doctor I was able to express myself too and it helped me out a lot and without him. I haven't found a good Psychiatrist since. And now I have been going through a lot and I really would like to see him. . Doctor khan is by far the number one psychiatrist i've ever met.

BEWARE! Dr. Khan has shuttered his practice (officially closed without warning), abandoned his patients, and his office won't tell anyone what is going on. All that is known is that he is having "issues" with his license" and "relocation."

The staff is good. He is a self absorbed and doesn't care.. Doesn't listen or ask questions at all. Assumes things he doesn't or cannot know because he doesn't ask questions. Seems like a fraud, is in no way helpful at all. Must be in it for the money because he doesn't care at all! He is not a real doctor!!

He's still pretending to be a doctor?! I do apologize to those who like him, but I don't have any faith in him, I personally on every level had the worst experience ever with a person who claims to have a psychiatrists degree. Professionally he failed, medically he failed.. he seriously as a professional let me down, he left me feeling lost, abandoned, misunderstood, attacked and unsafe. This is how I felt when I was left in his care. I'm really grateful he is not and was not my doctor
