Great first appointment with this psychiatrist. He totally understood my autistic daughter and all of her quirks. Even brought us in early because he had a last minute cancellation. Super helpful and got along well with her. Be warned about the very long waiting list though. I think the wait list says it all.

It took a long time to get to see him, but it was worth the wait. My son saw two other drs before and we got nowhere.

Great manner with my little girl, he spoke respectfully, listened, and tried to be flexible in how he approached use and our family. An added bonus is that he treats dads with respect. He's good. Just see him.

Dr Lee has been so supportive of our family and my DS.. He doesn't muck around, gets straight to the point, and he is prepared to beleive us when we say that out family is struggling with difficult and explosive behaviours without blaming us or our boy. He totally listens. Very happy

He's excellent. Really kind and compassionate. Been seeing him for 2 years and he's been so supportive of my son and our family. The last guy clearly has an axe to grind that isn't anything like our experience of Dr Joey

I've seen this shrink for an insurance compo report, and i have to say he's different (in a good way) to the others I've seen who are all biased liars and in the pockets of the compo providers. He's listens and is fair in what he writes. If you are given a choice with who to see, pick this guy. An added plus is that you don't have to drive to the city and pay for extortionate parking like you do for most of the other shrinks writing compo reports.

Ignore the last reviewer - I can't believe some whinger would complain that somebody so awesome should provide a specialist service for nothing. Yes, he only does a small amount of private work which makes it hard to see him. Yes, his free work is only available to a select few who sound like they really need it.

And yes, like the first few reviewers, I think guy is awesome. I've seen him a few times, he's always helpful, always professional, sometimes runs a wee bit late, but that's ok when it's to give you the time you need, and probably everybody else before and after you as well.

Ignore the last complaint. Just see him.

My son saw him a few times and when he was working at Westmead Kids Hospital, and we used to be able to see him for free. He was excellent back then because we didn't have to pay anything.

Apparently he has now left, and I tried to book my son in to see him privately, but he's booked out for months, and I can't afford his fee. I asked if there was any way I could have my son see him in a public hospital for free, and was told that his only public hospital work now is with the Children's Court, and with Juvenile Justice.

So apparently the only way to see him for free now is to have my kid taken off me, or have him go to jail so they can see him.

I'm sure he's still good, but make sure you can afford him before you bother to call. Medicare should be free for everybody.

My comments are the same as the other reviewers. This psychiatrist is polite, knows his stuff, and explains things in an easy to understand way. It wouldn't be wrong for me to say I owe him my life. The only real negatives (which are a reflection on how well regarded he seems to be) is that he has a long waiting list for new appointments, and his fees are on the high end.
